Company 5 would like to thank Enola and Mifflintown Fire Co's for standing by in our station during the funeral services, as well as Progress Fire for Tower 32 and Duncannon Fire for Truck 2.

Recent Incidents...

3-5-10  Company 5 was dispatched at 04:46 AM, along with Tankers 7 & 10 and Truck 10, for a structure fire in Liverpool Township.  Crews arrived to find a single story residence with heavy smoke showing.  The chimney apparently cracked and crews found fire in the walls around the chimney.  Units cleared the scene at 07:06 AM.

  

Company 5 was then dispatched at 12:55 PM for a multiple vehicle accident with injuries on Rts 11/15 at Rt 17.  Crews arrived to find 2 vehicles with multiple injuries and entrapment.  BLS units 59,79,79-1,89,109,J85,J85-1,J95, ALS units 81, 86 and Snyder 84, and 3 aero-medical helicopters were brought to the scene.  Engine 7 was called fr the landing zone on 11/15.  Units cleared the scene at 14:36.

  

Company 5 was dispatched with Ambulances 59 and 79 at 15:00 to the site of the previous accident for another multi-vehicle accident.  Crews arrived to find 2 seperate accidents involving 4 vehicles with 1 injury.  Units cleared the scene at 15:59.

  

2-26-10  Company 5 was dispatched at 8:07 AM to Buffalo Twp for a single vehicle accident.  Crews arrived to find a single vehicle on it's roof.  No injuries were reported.  Units cleared the scene at 9:07 AM.

  

2-13-10  Company 5 was dispatched at 19:32 PM to Susquehanna Twp for a two vehicle accident.  Crews arrived to find an abandoned cargo van parked in the middle of the road, struck by a moving vehicle.  No injuries were reported.  Units cleared the scene at 21:06 PM.

  

1-25-10  Company 5 was dispatched at 15:25 PM to Buffalo Twp for wires down in the woods with possible fire.  Units cleared the scene at 17:53 PM.

  

12-13-09  Company 5 was dispatched at 9:46 AM for a single vehicle accident with injuries in Susquehanna Township on Rts 11/15.  Crews arrived to find one patient Class 4 for whom the coroner was called.  No other injuries were reported.  Units cleared the scene at 12:45 PM.

  

11-2-09  Company 5 was dispatched at 19:21 PM for a two vehicle accident in Liverpool Township on Rts 11/15.  Rescue 5 arrived to find a mini-van that had hit at least one deer and was then rear-ended by a tractor-trailer.  No injuries were reported.  Units cleared the scene at 20:04 PM.

  

10-21-09  Company 5 was dispatched at 16:10 PM for a two vehicle accident in Liverpool Borough.  Rescue 5 arrived to find two vehicles with moderate damage but no injuries to any occupants.  Units cleared the scene at 16:59 PM.

  

10-10-09  Company 5 held celebrated Fire Prevention Week by inviting local residents to the station for educational information, coloring books and activities for children, and rides in Rescue 5.

  

10-3-09  Company 5 participated in Truck Ops 1 training with Snyder Co 90.

  

9-24-09  Company 5 was dispatched at 05:56 AM for a two vehicle accident in Liverpool Boro on Rts 11/15.  Crews arrived to find occupants out of the vehicles and uninjured.  Crews cleared the scene at 06:34 AM.

9-8-09  Company 5 was dispatched at 14:45 PM for a single vehicle accident in Liverpool Township on Rts 11/15.  Crews arrived to find the tractor trailer against the guard rail.  The single patient was declared deceased at the scene.  Crews cleared the scene at 18:59 PM.

8-30-09  Company training was held in the morning of 8-30-09.  Pump operations and basic line handling were covered

  

8-29-09  The junior firefighters held a car wash to raise funds for training. 

  

8-16-09  Company 5 participated in Pump Operations 1 class in Ickesburg along with crews from Shermansdale, Ickesburg, New Bloomfield, Duncannon and New Buffalo fire companies.
